En-suite Bathrooms.
Detailed side-project for Bedford Barn, to explore opportunities within bathroom design.
Completed: In construction, early 2026. Size: 4,000 sqft (total property size.)
As a side project to Bedford Barn, the en-suite bathrooms and ground-floor WC were a separate study and exploration of possibilities for the client.
Each of the 5 rooms had different sizes, aspects and also, the eventual different people who wished to use them! Therefore, a more bespoke design for each one was required, which gave a lot of design freedom and possibilities. However, ensuring that each of these rooms still complements the others and works in harmony with the main spaces and concept.
Ensuring each room worked technically with supply and waste locations, spacing regulations and alongside the challenge of a curved ceiling on the first floor, created unique designs for each of the rooms.
Since these designs were presented, each member of the household has been involved with choosing final tile finishes and colours, to make each space as unique as they are.
This project is in construction and Rickards Design look forward to sharing the final installation in early 2026.
